Foods That Burn Belly Fat

Foods to lose stomach fatThe older we get, our metabolic rate slows down considerably. That’s why a lot of people (not all though) get fat in their 30′s and many of us struggle on how to lose stomach fat.

But there are various foods that burn belly fat which you can start eating and drinking today.

Because our metabolic rate has slowed down they are not able to burn through the fat as quickly as when they were young. You can eat various foods which help the situation and keep clear of other foods.

It isn’t just about the amount of food but the types of food you eat and some of them can be quite surprising on how they can help you to lose stomach fat.

Green tea is actually one of the gems that I can found for losing stomach fat. It contains natural chemicals which burn belly fat and also are anti carcinogenic, so will it should help reduce the chance of Cancer. So if you are a tea drinker, I would highly recommend you try green tea. It might taste strange at first but once you get used to it then you should find it tastes delicious. Try to buy proper Japanese green tea though. It might cost more but it really does taste so much better.

Now we move onto the subject of carbohydrates. Basically, there are certain carbs which are bad and certain others which are actually okay. So I personally would never recommend a low carb diet which attempts to cut out all carbohydrates.

The bad carbohydrates include foods based on grains (even whole grains) and processed till there isn’t much left apart from fast burning, fat building, carbohydrates.

Examples of such foods are bread, pasta, cakes, chips, candy, soft drinks, biscuits etc. So if you really want to lose fat then I would highly recommend you cut down on these types of food in a major way.

There is also another danger to eating these types of foods and that is they can lead to various diseases such as diabetes, as the sugar raises your insulin.

The good carbohydrates can usually be found in natural foods, such as seeds, raw fruits, vegetables (broccoli is great not potatoes though) etc. These foods contain carbohydrates but not the types which make you fat.

Unlike the fast carbs in those processed foods, these are slow carbs which take a long time to digest. Because of this, the fat gain is far slower. Another advantage of foods such as vegetables are they contain some fibre. Fibre will keep you full for a long time and will help the digestive system.

Just try to keep a look out for which types of carbs you are eating. If you are tempted with some candy, simply eat some fruit, seeds or certain nuts (almonds are good).

Back to the subject of fat burning foods, we move onto beans. How successfully you are able to suppress your hunger will change how quickly you can lose or gain fat. Beans are very good for this as they are rich in fiber, so you tend to feel full for a long time in your stomach.

EggsBy the way, eggs have really been given a bad name but for no real reason. In fact eggs, especially the yolks contain various vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Of course, the free range organic variety are far better.

Almonds are another great food to help you lose fat. They contain fats which supply your body with essential nutrients such as fatty acids. It is rich in fatty acids and protein. Almonds helps you burn belly fat by boosting your metabolic rate.
